Seminole Landing Owner’s Association – Board Meeting

• Meeting is called to order at @ 7:15pm.  Members present Linda Westenfelder, Dave Westenfelder, Roger Marchman, Anna Toler, Dave Brown, Jeanie Bettcher and Lisa Salasek. 

• Lisa Salasek read the meeting notes from July.  Jeanie Bettcher motions to accept the notes.  Anna Toler seconds and the motion passes.

• Roger Marchman gave the treasurer’s report.  As of August 24, 2009 we have $5,334.96 in the checking account and $98,240.18 in the Money Market Savings account.

• There are still 9 association members that have not paid their dues.  The lein process will be initiated.  There has already been the initial dues notification, a past due notification and a certified letter sent to each of these members with no response.

• Bills to be paid:

  • Baldwin EMC                        $246.00

  • ECBC Water                         $65.37

  • Al (2cuttings)                                    $2720.00

  • Lisa Salasek                                     $126.69             (stamps and mailing labels)

Roger Marchman motions to pay the bills.  Lisa Salasek seconds and the motion passes.

• Information is being gathered in regards to security of the neighborhood to be discussed at the annual meeting.  Along with a possible patrol schedule, neighborhood watch items and security cameras are being looked at.  Dave Westenfelder motions to purchase neighborhood watch signs for an immediate impact.  Roger Marchman seconds and the motion passes.

• If the association were to install gates at the entrances it would not affect property taxes.

• Window clings to identify member / non-member vehicles had been issued after Hurricane Ivan to help keep the non-members out of the neighborhood.  Linda

Westenfelder motions to purchase new window clings to hand out at the upcoming annual meeting.  Jeanie Bettcher seconds and the motion passes.

• Jeanie Bettcher motions to get new keys made for the boat dock to eliminate the non-members or past members that have access to our facilities.  Roger Marchman seconds and the motion passes.

• The next meeting will be on Monday, September 14th at 7pm.
