The SLOA Board hopes to see everyone at this
year’s annual meeting. In order to vote all of your dues and liens need to be
paid in FULL. Many homeowners may not realize that we must have ½ of all
eligible votes to establish a quorum before ANY business can be conducted that
requires the association approval.
Each individual’s input is vital in
conducting business. If you do not vote then there is no validity to complaints
about decisions that are made.
The Board has been working on maintaining
our community. Some of our projects for this past year are:
- Expanded our parking area and extended
the gate at the boat ramp
- Removed the silt from the feeder spring
on Big Erin Pond on both sides of the road
- Graded and seeded drainage easement off
Riverlake Road
- Removed old pine logs on Donovan Drive
- Treated ponds for weed control and
fertilization
- Lawn maintenance
We would like to thank everyone who has
worked on the board and volunteered for projects.
Remember we are living in different times…
we have had two foreclosures to deal with this year. People are using our
facilities that DO NOT LIVE IN THIS COMMUNITY. This is our neighborhood and we
need to look out for each other and think about the security of our community
Four board positions are coming open. Each
term runs for two years. Some of the current board members are willing to
rerun, but it is up to you to VOTE.
